Georges

Claire Elise Boucher is a Canadian musician, singer and songwriter from Canada. Her early work has been described as "lo-fi R&B to futuristic dance-pop",[4and influenced by hip-hop, electronic and rock. She is often incorporating science fiction and feminist themes within her lyrics. She's released five studio albums. Grimes was born and raised in Vancouver but moved to Montreal in 2000. Grimes started releasing her music in solo fashion at the beginning of 2000. The albums released were through Arbutus Records in 2010, Geidi Primes as well as Halfaxa in the year 2010. After that, she became a member of 4AD and gained acclaim after the release of her third album, Visions In 2012. Visions contains the two singles "Genesis" and "Oblivion" and won the Canadian music industry Juno Award for Electronic Album of the year. In the years following, she released her fourth studio album Art Angels, was released in 2015 and received reviews of praise, as several magazines declared it to be the top album of 2015. Miss Anthropocene was her fifth studio album. Beyond the music industry, Grimes had a voice character in the 2020 action role-playing video game Cyberpunk 2077 and is a judge on the competition for musicians game series Alter Ego.
