Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko fights as an Kyrgyzstani Muay Thailand fighter for the UFC's flyweight division. She is the younger sister of the fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko's professional career in combat sport began with her debut as an Muay Thai competitor. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko won against Anissa by a unanimous vote. She was able to defeat Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. The league was dissolved in 2018, Shevchenko joined Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina defeated Nievera by her impressive striking ability during the clinch final round with knees placed on her body. Antonina's UFC contract was renewed in the wake of this win. Shevchenko was defeated by Roxanne modafferi in a split decision, after winning her first bout. Antonina was able to bounce back from the loss by defeating Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler via a rear-naked choke submission. She was awarded the bonus of a fight-of-the night. Shevchenko was victorious in her initial three fights before losing her next three fights to Katlyn Cahookagian Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski.
